Men's Haircut vs. Barbershop Cut
A barbershop is built for speed: clippers, a fade, out the door. Fine, if that’s all you need. A salon cut takes longer because it starts with a consultation and uses scissors as well as clippers, which matters if you have longer hair, a cowlick, thinning on top, or grey you want handled at the same time. At Avalon you can get the barbershop cut, but you can also get the things a barbershop does not offer: grey blending, colour, and a keratin/smoothing treatment for thick or curly hair.

- Consultation: we look at your hair, your hairline and how you wear it, then agree on the cut before anything is touched
- Wash: a proper shampoo and conditioning so the hair cuts cleanly
- Cut: clippers, scissors, or both, shaped to your head and your growth pattern

How Often Should Men Get a Haircut?
Short clipper cuts look their best for about three weeks and need a tidy-up by week four. Medium and longer styles can go five to six weeks. Grey blending grows out gradually with no hard line, so it does not need refreshing at every visit. If you book your next visit before you leave, you keep the shape and never hit the overgrown stage.

Yes. Kids 12 and under are $40. Book them in with your own cut and you are both done in one visit.
