Women's Haircut Calgary

Women's Haircuts Calgary | Cut. Colour. Style.
A women’s haircut at Avalon Salon starts with a conversation, not the scissors. Your stylist looks at your face shape, your hair’s texture and any colour you have, then washes, cuts and styles it so you see how it sits before you leave. Women’s haircuts start at $65, and your cut is free when you book a blonding or foiling service.
Our team has been nominated for Canadian Hairstylist of the Year, and we were the sponsor and stylist for Calgary’s own Riza Santos, winner of Miss Universe Canada. Same Beltline salon, two generations, since the 1970s.

Is Avalon Right for Your Next Haircut?
You’ve been growing it out for months and it’s lost its shape. Or you had a quick trim somewhere and the ends came out heavy in all the wrong places. A good women’s haircut starts with someone looking at your face shape, your texture and how much time you actually spend on your hair in the morning. That’s what we do before the scissors come out.
Signs You Need a Better Haircut
- Your hair only looks right the day you leave the salon
- You say "just a trim" because nobody has asked what you actually want
- Your colour and your cut were done by two people who never talked to each other
- Your ends are dry or splitting, and you're afraid to lose length
- You want a cut you can style at home in a few minutes
What to Expect After Your Appointment
- A shape that holds and grows out well, not one that needs fixing in three weeks
- Damaged ends taken off without losing more length than you need to
- A cut planned around your colour, so the two work together
- Hair styled the way you'll actually wear it, so you can recreate it at home
One chair. One stylist who listens. A cut that works with your hair, not against it.

Salon Haircut vs. Quick-Cut Chain
A quick-cut chain is built for speed: in, trim, out. Fine, if that’s all you need. A salon cut takes longer because it starts with a consultation and is planned around your face shape, your texture and your colour. At Avalon you can also book what a chain doesn’t offer in the same visit: highlights, balayage, colour correction and keratin smoothing, with your haircut free or half price when you pair it with colour.
What Happens at Your Appointment
- Consultation: we look at your face shape, your texture and your colour history, then agree on the cut before anything is touched. Bring a photo if you have one
- Wash: a proper shampoo and conditioning so the hair cuts cleanly
- Cut: shaped to your face and to the way your hair actually behaves
- Colour or treatment: done in the same visit, if you've booked it
- Style: blow-dried and styled, so you see how it sits before you leave
Booking highlights, balayage or another blonding or foiling service, or a keratin treatment? Your haircut is included free, so please don’t book a haircut separately. Booking a root touch-up, all-over colour or toner? Add a haircut at half price from the add-on section when you book online.
How Often Should You Get a Haircut?
We recommend booking every four to six weeks, so your cut keeps the shape it had when you left the chair. If you’re growing your hair out, a trim on that schedule keeps the ends healthy while you gain length. Booking your next visit before you leave is the easiest way to stay on track.
